NewMotion is Europe’s largest electric charging partner. Our mission is to work together with EV drivers by offering smart charging solutions and scalable charging infrastructure as a way of eradicating our dependency on fossil fuels for the future of mobility. 

We are looking for an iOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

At NewMotion we expect developers to take responsibility for their own work. We empower you to make decisions on your own, and will of course provide feedback when needed. Together we want to make the NewMotion app the number one charge app in Europe!


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, build and maintain applications for the iOS platform

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

  • Together with the team, consisting of product owner, UX design and other developers, you define and build solutions that users need.

  • Align and work together with Android developers to reach consistency and feature parity

  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

  • Work with team members on server-side integration

  • Work in an agile team using Jira, BitBucket, Kanban and Scrum

Do you want to shape the future of electric car charging?


  • Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

  • Knowledge of common iOS architecture patterns (MVVM)

  • Experience with dependency managers (CocoaPods)

  • Experience with threading, and performance tuning

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards

  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools

  • Familiarity with latest iOS features: deeplinking, today widget extensions, cloud message APIs and push notifications

  • Experience with Knack for benchmarking and optimization

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)

  • Familiarity with continuous integration (Teamcity)

  • Experience with unit, UI testing (XCTest)

  • Experience with testing tools (e.g. Testflight)

  • Experience with getting apps into the app store

  • Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications and environments

  • Self-starter, great sense of responsibility, team-player

  • Experience working with NFC, WatchKit, Camera module, A/B testing, is a plus

  • Excellent English: both spoken and written
