YOUR TEAM IS IN CHARGE OF 

Shell Recharge Solutions has a broad product portfolio and is continuously working on new product developments and improvements to enable cleaner transportation for everyone. To ensure that our products (AC charge points, DC charge points and all related accessories) comply with the latest regulations and standards, we are looking for a Hardware Quality Engineer who’d like to join our Hardware Engineering team.

Please note: This is a freelance assignment for a period of 6 months (with the possibility to extend).


THIS IS HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Your core accountabilities are to...

  • Support in monitoring the quality performance of the various suppliers of hardware and firmware.
  • Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Perform problem and root-cause analysis and determine corrective and preventive actions (8D report).
  • Participate in the acceptance tests of new firmware or product changes by in-house testing.


Success will be when you...

  • Take reactive and proactive feedback from the field (customer incidents reported as well as proactive field reviews).
  • Take the necessary actions to assure corrective and preventive actions are implemented on time and efficiently.
  • Create/Review workflows, specifications, and processes documentation.
  • Define new or edit existing firmware and hardware acceptance test protocols.
  • Build a trusted relationship with relevant teams to develop and implement verification methods, controls and improvements to hardware and firmware.
  • Provide technical support and training to technical support operational teams.
  • Be able to ensure processes and products consistently meet established quality requirements.

Job requirements

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Has experience of…

  • Quality engineering or a similar role preferably in (international) (e-)mobility, telecom, automotive, IT services or energy environment.
  • Quality Audits.
  • Computer networking (very strong plus)
  • Engineering, ideally in the fields of : Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science.


Is skilled at…

  • Related areas such as Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving and its methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc).
  • Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, PFMEA.
  • Software/firmware testing, development and/or improvements.
  • Failure analysis (e.g. as field service engineer).
  • Automated testing tools (is a plus).
